EMBODIED REST FOR MOTHERS

Guided by The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™

Helping overwhelmed mothers feel safe enough to reconnect with themselves through the body, and rest into a deeper ground of support.

Many mothers are quietly carrying far more than they realise.

A gentle body-based space to slow down, soften, and reconnect with your body, breath, emotions, and deeper needs through embodied rest and nervous-system support.

Because the body can only truly rest when it feels safe.

Book A Gentle Exploration Call

You may already know this feeling - of being tired in a way that rest doesn’t seem to touch.

Of carrying so much, while continuing to keep going.

Embodied Rest begins here

What is Embodied Rest?

Embodied Rest offers a gentle, trauma-aware path of slowly returning to the body – where support, safety, and a deeper sense of rest can begin to be felt again.

As we learn to stay with our experience rather than move away from it, what has been carried beneath the surface can gradually come into awareness.

Through 1:1 sessions and the weekly Embodied Rest Circle, mothers are gently guided through The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™ — a structured embodied process supporting the softening of tension patterns, nervous-system settling, emotional awareness, and a gradual return to greater connection, clarity, and inner support.

A gentle place to restore yourself from the inside out, so you can care for your family without continually running on empty.

When we begin to gently inhabit our bodies, we stop abandoning ourselves.

We become more present - More responsive - More connected - More rested.

And that presence becomes the safe ground our children grow from.

🌿If this feels familiar

🍃
You are exhausted, but your body will not settle.

🍃 Your shoulders, jaw, or stomach remain tight even when you lie down to rest.

🍃 Your mind keeps scanning for what still needs doing.

🍃 You feel tense, flat, or emotionally worn out.

🍃 Rest feels distant, unfamiliar — or somehow undeserved.

Your body has learned to stay alert for a long time.

And when the body hasn't felt safe enough to rest, it continues to hold — even in stillness.

🌿A gentle place to begin

If something in this has resonated, you don’t have to do anything more right now.

There is nothing to figure out. Nothing to push through.

Just a small place to begin.

A moment to pause, without needing anything more from yourself.

A short, guided meditation to help your body soften, settle, and feel supported — in a way that is steady, simple, and safe.

Reconnecting with the rest already within you

Many mothers have never been supported to feel safe enough within their own bodies

Over time, the body learns to stay alert, carry tension, and keep going without pause.

Many mothers gradually become disconnected from their body, breath, emotions, and deeper needs through years of holding, coping and staying 'on.'

Many of these patterns began as intelligent forms of protection, helping us to cope in the ways we knew how.

Through gentle embodied awareness, we begin reconnecting with what has been quietly carried beneath the surface.

Rather than pushing our experience away, we learn how to meet it with awareness, curiosity, and care.

It is here that a deeper sense of inner support can emerge.

As the body begins to soften and settle, there is more space to feel, respond, and rest

Long-held patterns of tension — often shaped through past experience — gradually soften and unwind.

And within that, a quiet sense of presence, connection, and inner peace can begin to emerge.

Over time, this way of relating extends into your relationships, your family, and your wider world.

Here, the body begins to feel like home.

🌿How overwhelm takes hold in the body

Motherhood asks us to hold many things at once — practical responsibility, emotional presence, care for others, and often our own experiences that were never fully supported.

When life becomes overwhelming, most of us are not taught how to stay with our experience.

In order to cope, we learn ways of protecting ourselves — pushing through, analysing, explaining, distracting ourselves, disconnecting from ourselves, or we simply keep going.

Rarely are we taught how to stay with our experience long enough to understand what it is asking of us.

Over time, what remains unmet is often carried silently within the body.

Shaped through implicit memory and past experience, the body adapts by holding tension, restricting the breath, and staying alert beneath the surface.

Even when there is time to rest, the body may continue carrying what has not yet been fully met.

Embodied Rest offers a gentle way of slowing down, listening and reconnecting with what has been asking for our attention all along.

It is only then that we can begin to feel our way through long-held patterns of tension, allowing them to gradually soften, unwind, and release.

The Seven Layers of Inner Peace™

Body – Breath – Emotion – Belief – Joy – Awareness – Peace

A way of meeting and staying with life through the body, one layer at a time, allowing peace to gradually emerge from within.

A gentle, embodied framework — informed by somatic practice and yogic understanding — moving through your lived experience layer by layer.

From the physical sensations of the body to the deeper patterns shaping how you feel and respond.

A gradual turning inward — from overthinking into direct embodied experience.

Not something to work out — but something to be with.

As you move through the layers, the body and nervous system are gently supported to settle – allowing rest, presence, and a deeper sense of connection to begin to emerge.

As tension patterns soften, what has been carried beneath the surface can gradually come into awareness.

Over time, ordinary moments of life become doorways to deeper wisdom, presence, and peace.

Here, life is gently held, just as it is.

🌿Why embodied rest matters for families

Children often feel what we feel before we say a word.

🍃 As a mother begins to feel more settled within herself, the atmosphere around her begins to soften.

🍃 There is more space to pause, rather than react.

🍃 More ease in moments that once felt overwhelming.

🍃 More availability for connection, even in the midst of everyday life.

🍃 Over time, this changes how we relate — to ourselves, and to those around us.

🍃 Repair becomes easier.

🍃 Connection becomes more natural.

🍃 The home begins to feel calmer.

🍃 Your steadiness becomes part of the ground of safety your children grow within.

🍃 And embodied rest becomes a quiet gift that ripples through families

🌿Reflections

🌿About Heena

My work grew from lived necessity.

For nearly thirty years, I have lived with a transplanted kidney.

What began as a life-saving transplant became an unexpected teacher, changing the way I listened to my body, and met my experience.

My greatest teacher, however, has been life itself.

Through motherhood, embodied practice, and lived experience, I learned how to feel safely within my own body rather than continually overriding it.

Nearly thirty years on, my transplant continues to function in remarkable health, reflecting the deeper regulation that became possible within my system.

Through this journey, I came to understand that beneath constant thinking, the body holds a deeper intelligence.

What we carry from the past is often held silently within the body through tension, emotional holding, and protective nervous-system patterns — sometimes experienced as overwhelm, unworthiness, exhaustion, or disconnection.

Today I support mothers who feel tired of carrying everything alone.

Through embodied rest, awareness, breath, and nervous-system support, I gently guide mothers back into relationship with themselves — allowing space for greater softness, connection, and inner support to emerge.

My work is grounded in lived experience alongside years of contemplative, trauma-aware, and embodied practice, including Compassionate Enquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate, iRest Yoga Nidra with Dr. Richard Miller, Diamond Enquiry through the Ridhwan School, and meditation teacher training with the British School of Meditation.

🌿Come exactly as you are

A place to soften.

To slow down.

To rest in your own presence.

There is nothing to prepare.

Nothing to fix.

Just a space to begin.
